Hi All Is there any job once started on your build that you must finish once you begin it?? Mostly cause of wood movement or glue? Since I'll be working on my project in the evenings and on the weekends, I'll be doing a little at a time. What are some of your experiences? Thanks, Dave |

Get sides done first ready to recieve the back and top. I prefer not to let the tops and backs set around to long after being braced up. |

1 - get a top or back completely braced in a day at most - you want the humidity levels to NOT change. 2- if you bowl sand the top or back for final fitting, do NOT remove it from the mold until the top or back is glued on - you pretty much cant get it EXACTLY in the same spot if you take it out. |

Bending the sides of course and making the kerfed linings, kerfed linings making is just sooo repetitive that you have to finish it once started and stay concentrated because you could fall asleep on the table saw! ![]() glueing up with HHG is another thing IMO. |

I try to get the whole thing built in one day....... Seriously, the bracing and the top & back onto the sides as soon as is practical. Don't leave a top for 6 months unnattached to sides |

I braced four tops, three sat around while I finished the guitar on one. By the time I was done the other three had turned into giant potato chips. I now attach sides soon after bracing the top. |
